PartyMutuel Privacy Policy

PartyMutuel is a scorekeeper for friendly party games. It never takes, holds, or pays out money. This policy explains the small amount of data the app handles and why.

What we collect

• Party data you enter: event names, entrant names, guest first names or nicknames, and picks/amounts being tracked. When a host "goes live," this data is stored on our servers (Cloudflare, USA) so guests' devices can sync. It is reachable only by people who have the six-character party code.
• Ad-free pass records: if you buy the optional ad-free pass, our payment processor Stripe handles your payment details — we never see your card number. We store only a random pass token, your Stripe customer/subscription IDs, and the pass expiration date.
• Local device storage: your events, pass token, and preferences live in your browser's or app's local storage on your device. We can't read them remotely.
• Optional sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Google (never required), we store your email address, display name, and a copy of your race days and party memberships so they sync across your devices. This data is private to your account and is never shown to other users — guests still only ever see the name you share. Signing out stops syncing, and the delete synced data button on the home screen removes the server copy instantly — no email needed.

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; see Google's advertising policy. Buying the ad-free pass ($5/year) removes ads entirely.

What we don't do

• No account is ever required — sign-in is optional and only adds cross-device sync. No passwords are stored (Google handles sign-in), and no phone number is ever requested.
• No sale of personal data, no data brokers, no cross-app tracking by us.
• No handling of money or wagers. Any friendly stakes are settled privately between guests, outside the app.

Retention & deletion

Live party data is kept so parties can be revisited, and may be pruned periodically. To request deletion of a party, an ad-free record, or a sign-in account and its synced data, email support@partymutuel.app with the party code, pass token, or account email and we'll remove it promptly. Clearing your browser/app storage removes all local data instantly.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Server data is stored with Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States.

Age

PartyMutuel is intended for adults. Guests must be 21 or older to join a pool. The app is not directed at children.
